The short version

I'm Tan Ji Sheng — an engineer who kept ending up in the founder's chair. I studied computer science at Multimedia University, went deep into machine learning during my masters research (teaching models to predict network faults before human experts could), and then spent thirteen years building at whatever frontier was hardest at the time.

That meant queue-management apps when mobile was new. Smart-city AI when governments started listening — live bus tracking and waste-fleet analytics that two Malaysian local governments ran in production. Protocol engineering when blockchain got real: I led development of Trivechain, a public Layer-1, through a consensus upgrade and eventually a responsible cross-chain sunset. And a full NFT game studio, Playermon, which I ran as CEO through crypto's harshest winter — growing it past 60 people before exiting through an acquisition.

Today I'm CEO of GamBit Custody — the digital-asset custody arm of GamBit Group, regulated by Securities Commission Malaysia. It's a fractional mandate, held alongside independent advisory, systems architecture, and fractional-CTO work at the intersection of AI and blockchain — the thread being that wealth, especially digital wealth, should survive its handovers.
